Barbara O’Shea, CCP, CBP, SPHR, Senior Director and Compensation Practice Leader
Barbara O’Shea joined the PROXUS team in 2007 as Practice Leader of our Compensation group. Her superior project management ability and extensive knowledge of human resource functional areas enable her to lead client engagements from initial planning stages through implementation.
Barbara is a highly skilled human resources professional with 19 years of diversified experience in the design and implementation of compensation, performance management, pension and benefit programs to support strategic organizational objectives. Barbara also possesses well-rounded HR generalist capabilities, as evidenced by her experience in the areas of recruitment, policy development, employee relations and HRIS.
Over the course of her career, Barbara has directed compensation and benefits operations and staff, focusing on strategic planning, design and implementation of cost-effective employee benefits and compensation programs. She has also been responsible for the analysis, proposal, implementation and maintenance components of pension programs.
Barbara is an outstanding asset to PROXUS clients due to her unique combination of analytical, interpersonal and communications abilities. She skillfully partners with clients, drawing on her broad experience with compensation, benefits, acquisitions, and audits and other interdisciplinary teams, to ensure successful outcomes.
Barbara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from Philadelphia University. She holds the professional designations of Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). She has been a member of World at Work, SHRM, and PEBA.
