Salary_Outlook2012 Salary Outlook Shows Brighter Compensation Picture

With the nation's economy in a downward spiral over the last few years, many salary budgets have remained in a deep freeze. With the economic picture continuing to show modest signs of improvement, salaries are projected to slowly thaw and trend upward in 2012.

NLRBNational Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
Delays Date of Employee Rights Notice Posting Until 2012

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is an independent federal agency whose responsibility it is to protect employees' right to organize and to determine whether to have unions as their bargaining representatives. As of Jan. 31, 2012, all private-sector employers who are under the jurisdiction of the NLRB will be required to post a notice, advising employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act. This notice was originally required for posting in November 2011, but has been postponed.

This requirement came about after much discussion at the NLRB. The intended effects of this action are to increase the knowledge of the NLRA among employees and to better enable the exercise of these rights by employees under the statute. Read more...
